ABOUT THE BOARD

Duties & Responsibilities

In a Michigan township, the Board of Review’s primary duty is to review property assessments, hear appeals from property owners, and make corrections to the assessment roll. This includes addressing errors, omissions, and ensuring assessments are uniform and accurate. They also consider hardship exemption applications and ensure compliance with Michigan property tax law.

Dates, Locations, & Times

The board of review meets every March, July and December. Meetings are held at the township hall, unless otherwise noted.

Organizational meeting: March 3, 2026 at 10 am.

Board of Review: March 9 from 9 am to 3 pm and March 10 from 3 pm to 9 pm.
